Lenny Hampel 9 years old, number 1 in Vienna u10, number 8 in Austria trains with Randal May and shows enormous potential. His favorite pro-player is number 2 in the world Rafael Nadal from Spain. In fact he usually screams "Vamos" after winning an important point like Rafael Nadal.

A Former Champion inspires a Future Champion Former

Number 1 ranked tennis player (1996) Thomas Muster was happy to view 7 year old future Champ Mathias Angerbauer. I personally spoke with Thomas and said that he has to see this kid for he has all the skills and determination to be a future top player. Tom stood courtside as Matthias went to work from the baseline pounding topspin forehands/backhands, slice backhands and volleys at the net.

Afterwards the former number 1 said , “Great job kid keep up the good work!” Tom told me that people who watch professional tennis don’t know how much work is involved in the background. He implied that this kid is really a great talent but he has to work very hard for the next 10 years to make it to the top. Now before every practice I remind Mathias about Thomas Muster’s words of wisdom; that he has to put in a lot of work. Now Matthias is so pumped up during our practice sessions! This meeting with the former number 1 in the World has inspired Austria’s next possible number 1.
